"...we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor."

I read The Declaration of Independence to Mina today. She was squirmy and wiggly and interrupted a lot, but anyway, it was good to read it, and I encourage you to take a moment from sparklers and grilled meat and red, white and blue treats to read the want, will, and hopes of the people. I got a little choked up at that last paragraph.

I love that you did that. It's sad when people celebrate but don't know the history behind certain holidays...

My boys are in the other room learning about capitalism by playing Monopoly... perhaps we should follow that up with the declaration of independence.
